Parkview Commons I is a 110-unit, mixed-use complex in the Melrose Commons section of the Bronx, located on Elton Avenue and 161st Street. This 9-story apartment building contains rental apartments for low-income family households, 8,000 square feet of commercial space, and 29 on-site parking spaces. The building is configured so that the commercial spaces front on East 161st Street, while the residential portion wraps around a landscaped plaza on Elton Avenue.

Resident amenities include a residential lobby, community room, and an attractively landscaped recreational open space. The laundry facility is located on the ground floor and faces the outdoor play area designed for the children in the building.

The building's construction is a combination of concrete block bearing wall and concrete plank, structural metal stud walls, and an exterior consisting of polychrome brick and reinforced masonry.

Parkview Commons was awarded a Big Apple Brownfield Award in 2007.
